Default Forum politeness

There is one thing on this forum that keeps me returning, it's the civility and politeness. The vast majority of members are so polite and civil in their replies it's amazing compared to many UK forums, not that I ever frequent any these days. Apart from the silly V8 engines that continuously fail there is a host of good info always available on here to everyone. I miss some of the 'old hands' on here like Dusty1 and Savannah Buzz etc but the present crop seem decent enough. It sometimes seems I have been a member for a 'lifetime' but as long as the old D2 keeps running I'll always be back if nothing else just in case I miss some useful info .

I've been getting my *** handed to me by UK forum members since joined a few of the UK Land Rover forums.
When the forum members post their Land Rover malfunctions, I keep forgetting the majority of the UK Land Rover owners over here have diesel engines. So when I reply with "check your crank position sensor", "reset your ECU adaptions", "check your MAF sensor", "add a Fram FV308 PCV", I get bunch of replies "******", "Yank", "Silly sod" and 'What are you on about?".
lol

Hi, at a guess there are about 70% vs 30% in favour of diesels in the UK of which the majority are stick shift gearboxes. Many of the owners IMO waste their money on 'bolt on' goodies rather than good maintenance. Many seem to like to 'show off' their D2's at LR fete's and exhibitions and go to pay and play mud holes at weekends, the more mud the merrier. One reason I don't join any forum's in the UK is that they are ignorant, rude, picky and often know nothing to interest me about D2's. They are often silly peasants by behaviour IMHO and who rarely leave the UK apart some go to Benidorm in Spain once a year, speaks volumes. Personally I prefer this US forum albeit you use crappy V8 engines. IMHO take a step back and just read the naive comments online there.

I’ve noticed on other UK Land Rover Forums is there aren’t many Discovery questions/problems that people post. You get the few Disco diesel engines questions but there are far more Freelander and old Series model questions.
