They were really milking that whole one dash fits all countries thing. Swap the steering box and grab handles and done! RHD.

If it was my truck I would remove the dash and find out why it sucks and then I'd find a way to remedy it cheaply. You have a complete candy store in the junk yards, you don't have to use a Rover A/C system because you can butcher up an American vehicle with a better system and it won't cost a small fortune. A D1 might have to sacrifice it's ducting or air box to do what you want. You have the time and skills, get on it.

My 94 RRC reminded me a lot like my 04 Grand Cherokee 4.7L 4x4. The AC worked, but it reminded me more of a house. The temp would eventually get there, but you just never really felt it blowing on you. My 94 RRC cooled with all the levers in the correct position it's blowing power just wasn't what I'd call awesome and all RRC's I've ever been in = far left vent by the drivers door was a total joke.

The 04 Grand Cherokee I had put out plenty of air on the outside vents, but the two main center vents were useless like the RRC's. Only 99-04 WJ Grand Cherokee I ever rode in that seemed to cool better was the automatic climate control models, but they had serious blend motor faults so I avoided buying one like the plague.

With a properly working RRC AC it will cool down eventually, but vs a D1/D2 the output is weak. The RRC blower setup is funky with 2 blowers. The 95 RRC dash is very similar to a D1/D2 setup, but I'm sure the braces underneath are totally different, and it might even require the D1/D2 steering column.

I'd honestly try replacing the dryer, and the expansion valve, then see how it cools. When those get old the cooling will suffer and also they were R12 systems originally so a converted R134A RRC system will never be as cool as the D1/D2 system that was designed for R134A in the first place.

Yea I've never had an issue making the mechanical side work fine. Super easy simple system. It's the other side is the problem. Just like you said no air moving.

Maybe it's just a fan upgrade you need then. How many amps is the alternator?

If memory serves years ago someone figured out a blower/fan combo that fit but had twice the air flow
