We just came back on a short getaway from Red Deer to Jasper (Alberta) via Saskatchewan River Crossing, and regular (87) was $1.979 per litre at Sask River Xing. Yikes! The Ranger Rover performed admirably, especially going up to the "big hill and big bend" viewpoint on highway 93.
197 a litre. Holy molly ****
carbon tax gotta save the world

That is a beautiful drive & part of the world. Easily worth it even with resort pricing. The #93 all the way down to Kalispell is just WOW.

If you want spectacular and a bit scary, I'd prefer coming down Alberta #2 to Carway on the Montana border then on to St. Mary, then turn West and take the Going to the Sun road, you'll never forget it!

GTS had been on our drive and bicycle list! We tried, closed both times, unrideable another. Stocking up on Moosedrool a decent consolation.
To be honest avoided #2 around cowtown like the plague. Cowboy trail easier / more scenic, faster.
Roll on!
