24 years young. When I do something I go all out, love projects, learning new skills, so naturally I got a Rover Also Land Cruisers are far too reliable for my taste.

I guess I am the old man of the group. I am 60. I was looking for something for cash and ran up on my 97 DI sitting on a small lot full of high dollar imports. Was not really looking for a LR or even a 4 wheel drive at the time, but drove it, made a cash offer and got it. I was actually looking for another Mercedes SEL as I had been driving a 86 420 SEL and a 86 Porsche 928 that were both gone.

I had owned a 96 full size Bronco 351 previously as well as a 78 Dodge RamCharger that had been built up by a previous boss in Denver. It had a big block and MT 36's but sucked gas at an enormous rate.

In my younger days as an Engineer in the Space Coast region of Florida, I had driven a 280ZX for over ten years and replaced it with a Volvo 240DL.

All of those were sweet rides. But I do enjoy the Discovery now.

I am 44, wife is 49. Looking to acquire a '12 LR4 next summer. Pretty stoked on the whole Land Rover angle, never owned one before, never owned a 4 wheel drive before, so......looking for this vehicle to open up some terrain and weekends that we haven't been able to do before. Test drove one this weekend, wife loves the luxury angle, i'm about chompin at the bit for some dirt this coming summer, not to mention runs up to Big Bear Mtn next winter......

I'm 28, Disco's have always been on my short list of vehicles to own, and since I worked at a Rover dealer for the past 5 years I've been keeping an eye on a cheap one.

Finally picked up my 94' DI last year for $600 (mechanics lien, got the title a month later).

25 here born raised and still reside in cincinnati ohio. I cannot wait to go off roading for the first time in my newly purchased 04 disco (after i work out some bugs and learn about it first). If I ever get away from work, I work at general mills factory that makes cereal. I would love to take my rover on an expedition sometime.

That should be no problem! Start a new thread and put out some feelers on who all is out there and there should be at least 4 or 5 people who reply.

I'd like to think I represent myself well for the age I am.
