Hummer vs Land Rover?
Land Rover, duh!
For real, My buddy drives an H3 and I drive a DII... I gotta say, the Hummer's got a good sound system, but an in-line 5 cylinder engine. Pretty weak if I'm being honest. They're pretty mean looking but kind of childish once you're around it a lot. It's like an off-road toy for someone who doesn't know a lot about car mechanics.
Also, that thing's been in the shop more times in a year than my Rover has, so that's a + for me :}

The Hummer is now out of production. That alone should tell you something. To be honest I don't ever remember seeing a Hummer (that wasn't painted in camouflage) that looked like it had been off road.
In my opinion there is but one true Hummer and its the Humvee/H1. H2 and H3 are watered down imitations that were built on a basic GM frame. I also find they looks to be..... ugly and impractical. The windows offer very poor visibility and to many blind spots. I have alot of respect for the first generation Hummer.... the only Hummer. The available options for the vehicle far exceeded anything offered by any other auto manufacturer of the time. Refer to this old *** Hummer commercial:
That said I still prefer a Discovery 2 if I had to choose. Would be nice if all the options available for the H1 could be available for the D2. I do like how the H1 looks but the Discovery is taller and easy to maneuver in tight places where the H1 would not be able to go due to its excessive width.
