can you recommend me some cars similar, to the Land Rover Discovery. I like the older models though, like the 1999 or early 2000s.
Any recommendations?

So, are you asking a Land Rover forum to recommend something other than a Land Rover?

Good luck with your search! Hope you get some useful info.

I have a 2000 Disco II that I have had since new and I generally enjoy working on it. Parts are getting easier and cheaper to find but parts for a Discovery are always more expensive than parts for a Ford or a jeep. But you lose that old school image with Fords and jeeps.

I have a buddy who has a 1970 something Bronco and another buddy with a 1980 something jeep. Parts for those vehicles are cheap and easy to find, but they both like the ride and look of my Disco better. And while mechanical parts are cheaper on their vehicles, cosmetic parts are often much more expensive. My Bronco buddy has 37k in his truck, it gets horrible gas mileage, has no air conditioning, rides like a tractor, etc. He actually sent two people to the hospital when the back seat bolts pulled through the body's and the tailgate popped open when they hit it. Serious injuries. Of course, neither the jeep nor the bronco has airbags or air conditioning.

I could buy several Discoveries for 37k and have parts for the rest of my life.

I had seen some of your posts in the past and I'm curious if you own a Discovery like you claimed to in earlier threads then why do you not know about the costs of LR ownership? Or is this going to be another thread you start for some strange reason and never follow up on.

Took another look back so what happened to the Defender you have in Spain and the Disco you need a engine for in PA last but not least the Range Rover Classic you own.

So what are you really up to?

Charlie, yeah some days you just notice things and want to take a deeper look.

Didn't feel like bringing up the LR2/Freelander Lr3 and LR4 that he/she was supposedly buying to....

Inquiring minds want to know.....
