how have you been doing man. Did you get rid of the wife’s LR3? Last thing I remember talking with you about was you going to look at a Yellow D2. Hope all is well brother.

Still got the wife's LR3. It had a rough patch, but it's still going lol.

Doing good here, and I've been wondering how you were doing!

I did in fact buy that yellow 97 XD. Got it all pretty much sorted out last year and I took it to the 2019 HCRR event. She is far from perfect as the Iowa winters have already done their damage to the body. Frame is good, electrical is good, and it's good mechanically. She'll just need a transplant one day (a body). I always wanted an XD so I couldn't pass it up.

However in Nov of 2019 I came across a flawless 95 D1 and I had to buy it. You do not find 100% Texas D1's with 2 owners and dealer serviced in Austin/San Antonio it's entire life.

I had to repair cylinder #5 piston/rings (due to a tech that dropped a bolt into the engine back in 07 and then they DID NOT repair it properly), and I went ahead and did a HG job, and replaced the lifters while I was in there. She now runs excellent, and it doesn't need much to be 100% flawless. I added a lift, new tires, and the TJM to give it an updated look along with a few other more modern parts here and there.

How is the LR3?

I bought a TJM bumper for my first 97, blade only, but sold it before I installed it. I really liked the way it fit.

That’s awesome to hear. I love that color on the LR3’s get some black wheels on there. I remember you were dealing with that sunroof exploding. I just had to deal with the transmission fluid change. Hope all is well. We need to make a trip to Moab. The new rides you’ve picked look awesome.

Yeah the sunroof was a PITA lol. I finally got it after mixing the broken OEM unit with the broken unit I received from Ebay (vendor did not box it up worth a darn!!). I'd love a trip to Moab (dream vacation/road trip)!!!!

Glad you're doing well and anytime you're ever down this way let me know.
