Default Judgmental friend/neighbor drive a GM SUV?

Show them this and then jump into your Land Rover:

I'm not sure I'd show them that. They may then show me the Land Rover Discovery recall to replace cracked fuel tanks.

There is a guy who lives down the street from me, I live on the corner, you basically have to drive past my house to go anywhere.
Last summer I was working on my truck in the driveway.
He drives a ratty old Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4.
He had a friend with him, windows down.
He said to his friend as he was driving by "that f-er is always wrenching on that damn thing"
I just smiled and waved.

I thought half the fun of owning these is the "joy" of wrenching on them, well it is to me at least. When ever I have the hood up then the neighbour acorss the street always comes and has a chat whilst the other one just shakes his head and says "What now?"

Exactly.
My truck has NEVER not got me home, EVER, so I might be "working" on it all the time but it is way more reliable than anything else I have owned.

I agree,Spike.. I've had my disco for 13 years... it has NEVER been towed or not got me home... it has been a great truck, that has had it issues, but is still a reliable daily driver.

Well, I did have mine towed, once, when the crankshaft position sensor went. But that's my fault, because I kept putting it off.

My Bro has what I refer to him as an "Excalade". His neighbor and the guy across from them both have Tohoes. As they were all talking in the front yard one day, I posed this question "did you ladies all go to the dealership together one day and try on each others first? Yes there is a lot of diversity individualism in his neighborhood.
