Default landrover05's fords

im sorry but if you honestly think there is a perfromace or reliability difference between ford and chevy, or even dodge for now i think you are wrong. The american manufacturers are both losing marketshare in every catagory. Neither can make a car (except corvette, mustang, and solstice) that even sells without incentives i.e employee discounts or rebates. As far as trucks go i dont think any of the big three have an edge on anything for example all the half ton trucks can only tow as much as a class 3 traailer hich will allow which is 7700 pounds. Non are any different in reliability, mpg, price, options, crash test. How many half ton trucks even have a diesel option (which is the best engine choice for a pickup truck). I can see why american car companies (save for chyrrsler bc mercedes owns them now) are in trouble financially. I hate to say it but the best trucks will come from dodge as soon as there cummings contract expires and they start bringing over Mercedes diesels to put in the trucks. I have a problem with all new trucks from the big 3. Go price how much a new altenator or something for a new american truck is, we no longer save money on parts by buying american. An altenator on a ford f-150 for a 5.4 is 400 dollars new and same for the chevy with a 5.7. We cant even complain about land rover parts prices bc the american car companies are just as expensive in their new cars. A girl i work with busted her radiator in a Brand new chevy cobalt and it cost her 1300 to repair, thats more than my land rover radiator that i cant afford at 700 dollars. The way to go is the euro cars but our crappy currency exchanfe rate makes them too expensive. The american dollar isnt worth crap on the world market right now so cars from europe are even more than they used to be. BMW was going to bring the one class compact to america to compete with civics and stuff but if it does it would be out of price range, but in europe they compete on the same level. I dont see how you can be so convinced that Ford is so great and chevy's suck, they are the same.

the poll is about pickup trucks which is better ar what would you buy if you wanted a full sized pick up?

I am not a fan of dodge, Just cummins, but dodge is coming out with some good cars all of a sudden. Chevrolet is still a good company, if I were going down right now to pick up a diesel, the toss up would be a duramax or a cummins, and I would prolly go with the duramax at this time. And posting Mack w/ peterbilt, bad, bad. My parents own a trucking company, I've driven pete's and macks, and others, and the mack has nothing on the pete. (I know this is kind of off topic, but had to set it straight, haha)

i bet i know how everyone voted so far

billy, mercedes in dodge,

mike, dmax

myself, ford, duh!?!?!?

my dad has a powerstroke and that thing is awesome, but i don't have anything i need to tow other than my race car (not street legal) and i can use an f-150 for that. until then, i have risked it driving it 4 miles to the race track and praying the Texas Rangers don't see me.

all it really needs to be legal is exhaust, but i'm not gonna waste my money

i only voted dodge bc of the mercedes diesle. If any other company had that i would vote for them. I wish opel would still make trucks using mercedes diesel, but opel is owned by gm now.

The only Dodge with a Mercedes diesel is the Sprinter van
it is a 2.7L turbo diesel.
The currency, the Dollar is at a high against the Pound and Euro ( 1.75 down from 1.87)
Euro 1.20 down from 1.24. This is over 6 mo.
American trucks are much to large and more car like than truck.
I would just buy a trailer. Oh, I have.

Little off topic but being a Pete owner at one time I have to set this right,

A Peterbuilt is a Large car, everything eles is a big or large truck.

The diffrence= A Large car (pete) will go as fast as you want it to,a big(Large) truck (Kenworth,Mack,International,Freightshaker) will only go as fast as it can.
