Well I know prices on stuff had gone up, but LKQ has lost their darn minds!! Went to grab a 25 year old D1 ABS modulator, 5 small brake lines, and they wanted 425.00. Told em remove the warranty and it was still 310.00... When I said no they just said ok toss in the bin on your way out aka the trash......

I figured it out. People aren't buying the 10-15k marked up new vehicles as much vs buying used or older vehicles, then of coarse they start going to salvage yards more aka they increase prices due to supply and demand, but 425.00 for a part I could get for 30.00 before = sorry won't do it. I don't even need the darn ABS to work. I'm getting a 95 D1 and the guy removed all the ABS to try and bypass it but in the process messed it all up. I was simply just going to return it to stock.... I looked on Ebay and the darn things are 65-100 tops all day long so LKQ can suck it.... Best part I loved was tossing it in the trash bin (I really really really tossed in in there lol)... They went from making 125.00 (what I felt was more than fair for a 25 year old un-tested part off a rust bucket) to making 0.00 as they'll just make $$$ off it's weight in scrap eventually... I mean I did buy the HVAC bezel for 6.25 but she tried to charge me 6.00 for a stupid warranty on it.... I said ummm it's a piece of plastic so ummmm NO THANK YOU take the warranty off please!!!!

The line to check out was 45min long and they ask you what vehicle it came from then they actually look it up and of coarse I had to say Land Rover and immediately the employee's were like oh a Land Rover.... Had I said Ford Ranger the part they looked up wouldn't have matched. Woman tried to tell me a new unit is 350.00 without the lines.... I said well that's for a brand new unit vs a 25 year old untested part... Sorry won't pay that much. She then tried to tell me oh well it's ABS and it's a safety part so more $$$$. I didn't buy into that BS for one second and said no thanks... It seems everyone checking out was tossing stuff into the trash bin and leaving cause it was nearly completely full...
