When M.E.N. play?
My friend Mossie Basson has a photograph of him climbing not a hill, but a mountain in a carbon fuel powered machine - in fact the most well-known peak of the Alp Mountains - the Matterhorn. And that was already in the 1970's.
His machine? A French designed and built Dassault Mirage III.
Some men when I was younger smoked. Not Gunston or Peter Stuyvesant of Belmont or even Pot (as is legal in the USA nowadays) - but Soviet and Cuban Mig 21s and Russian T55 tanks. Look at the attachment.
