My last Land Rover.
OP has 3 posts....all complaining about how LR's are sooooo bad.
NEVER once is there a post asking how to fix a specific problem he/she was having. Obviously at $21K, every "problem" ever experienced was solved with an expensive trip to the dealer for an diagnostic and "repair." It sours down this forum when people sign up just to post complaints and not to get any actual help.

This thread is interesting, but it is difficult to admit the maintenance costs for the truck (even with me doing almost all of the work). Bought for good price used (3 years old, 46k miles). Clean car with some warranty left to address some issues when purchased.
Now some 4+ years and 60k miles later....(warranty items not included)
I have averaged some $2600 / year in maintenance.
Love the truck, but the maintenance items add up.
Would be harder to take if I were paying dealer rates....

Ahh, the real truth. $21k was probably what the repairs cost at the dealership, but he never states what his deductible for the extended warranty was. He may have only paid 1k for the work and the warranty paid the rest. For example, I replaced the heads on a Cadillac Catera under extended warranty. Owner paid a deductible of $800, and the repair cost $28k.
