The New Bronco
I have an early reservation, recently changed my fully loaded Badlands order (with every single constrained commodity lol) to the lowest trim I could spec with the washout floors. Still waiting a year later on a build eta.
i’m also waiting on a D110, damn you covid. The good part is that at least if I don’t like either I can flip them and at least break even given the current used market

I just played around with a build and added $10k in 2-seconds! All I wanted extra was the 2.7, locking rear diff and steel front bumper.
By chance parked next to a new Bronco Sport, which was parked by a Kia Soul... The Bronco looks much smaller in person... Compared to the new Defender which looks much larger in person... And of course my D2 looks downright huge next to the Bronco... Pardon the sun glare...

I test drove a badlands, and it was very good and fun but ultimately I felt the Bronco fit a 'fun weekend' niche and not a daily driver/road trip use for me. It's a bit too loud and utilitarian even with all the tech addons available (also the payload/towing is low, very wrangler-esque). So I shaved a good 20k off the price by taking off the extra stuff I wanted in a DD (and removed most of the constrained commodities which should enable it to be built sooner). A new Defender will be my DD, if they ever open the factory back up and start making them again.
