what year are the discos? Man looking at your pics makes me want to go offroading so bad. I went with a friend a few months ago (he has a F 150 [v6]) and it was FUN, and i want to see how the LR performs. But i dont see how the V8 only produces 188 HP. But it still picks up that wieght,, amazing.

much better than your buddie's F-150, not that theres anything wrong with F-150s.

HP doesnt really mean as much as people give it credit for, as far as im concerned it's more of a measure of how fast the engine can spin. tourque is where it counts, especialy with trucks.

100% right, Land Rover's tend to be built for off road use and towing, rather than for speed. The exceptions to this are the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, but even these are still leaned towards higher torque than higher speed. If you look at agricultural tractors Horse Power, you might be surprised

yeah, i'll let you know next time we come up there. i'm pretty sure we will go in june. i have never been to choke cherry, but i have heard of it. my cousin has a buddy with a jeep or a bronco or something that they take up there. time for a land rover to represent, whether it be a freelander, an lr3 or yours if you so decide. (isn't your's a discovery?)
