Recommendations for a Reliable 270-Degree Awning?
Hey everyone, I’m upgrading my overlanding setup and looking for advice on a solid, long-lasting awning. I’m especially interested in a 270 degree awning that’s easy to deploy solo and performs well in wind and rain.
I’ve come across brands like Rhino Rack, Darche, and OVS, but I’m open to other options if they’re worth the investment. Are there any long-term users here with feedback on durability or ease of use? Are there any key features to look for or avoid?
Feel free to share pics of your setups too. Appreciate any insights or recommendations you can offer!

I’ve had my rhino rack 270 for over a decade first on my FJ and then on my D1. It’s been great, I have had to replace the guy lines twice and several pole ends when a wind gust flipped it once. Otherwise it’s been great.
