spray on chrome

I'd get on the Hemmings site, look for a rechrome /straightening company and take the plunge. They're hard to come by any more due to US EPA regulations, but some are still out there! Used to be one in Glastonbury Connecticut who've done numerous for me in the past, some pretty tweaked when dropped off. It's your best route, pay a little up front, but your best return in the end.
A spray on finish....looks nice when fresh, but is just paint......your front bumper wouldn't last long, it's bad money.......You've got a driver, something you want to enjoy, not a trailer queen......get them dipped!
Upon their return, use a high quality oil based paint to treat the back side of the bumper, your investment will thank you 15 years later.
Been here, done this with numerous auto's......referb/redip is your best money spent.

I can't find anything....on longevity........also notice every application is professionally prepped.....baby butt smooth. That alone could be a challenge for creditable results.
I'm still for rechroming.
The front of a car/truck is constantly being sand blasted from road grit by the car in front. I used to do a lot of paint & material testing, I'd put samples in place off my front license plate and drive for a month.....there's no better test for real world applications......unfortunately you'd need to buy the product to test..
You've got Super Chrome in Asbury Park......
