I tried but Grayson BMW in Knoxville could not find the correct part number to match it up. Anyone know the BMW part number that correlates to the Land Rover part number IGH500010?

Default Try Price at LRDirect

After months of frustration with the "trans-neutral" message, I finally broke down and purchased the part. I ordered OEM part from LRDirect.com in the UK. It worked out to around 700 and change including shipping, then mechanic charged me 100 to install it. No problems since then.

It's just that every time the message center chimes for any reason, I get the haunting flashback of "TRANS-NEUTRALLLLLL". So apart from that recurring nightmare, all is well.

Also, I think I have replaced just about everything you mentioned on your list. Next will be speed sensor and transmission wire harness, but I have to work a few more months to come up with the extra cash for that repair. How'bout that!

I had already called LR in Knoxville but they cannot tell me what the BMW # is for the Transfer Case Shift Motor. They only know the LR number IGH500010.

Good luck with your RR. It is not really a question of "if" you will have any problems with it but "when". I called a friend who owns the local GMC dealer to find me a tahoe/yukon/suburban ASAP and told him I had a turd to trade in.

This is exactly how I feel. Every time it would chime this winter to tell me the temp was below 38 it would send chills down my spine thinking I had another problem. I wish someone would steal this thing but I know they wouldn't make it very far and it would just end up back at my house...

Not looking forward to any more repairs. I've spent as much fixing this POS as I did purchasing it 2 years ago. Never again Land Rover...never again! It is Ford, GM, or Toyota for our family from now on.

Default 04 Range Rover HSE - Suggestions?

I've had similar problems here. I have recently put a new (used) engine in mine. Only to get it back and have this Transmission Failsafe program to happen 2 times in the last few days. It has happened while going at higher speeds. The light comes on and the vehicle automatically shifts into a neutral. My Low gear light also comes on. Last night it had some clicking noises while it happened. both times I just had to let it sit for a few minutes(vehicle off). I was then able to start up, and drive home normally.

Previous to this I was having some shuttering at about 30mph. Its hard to pinpoint what exactly its from. If I'm easy on the gas when accelerating it does it more. It feels like its cutting out multiple times in just a few seconds. Almost like a transmission issue, but its not happening when shifting. This was happening before and after the new engine was installed. So this leads me to believe there was a pre existing transmission condition that is still there. One other issue that I've had happen is a wheening/vibration noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. its very sporadic when it happens. No rhyme or reason.
Does anyone on here have an idea on what this could be? I just stuck 6 grand into this just a few weeks ago, and am quickly giving up on RR. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to give up! thanks,

Red face

StrutWear,
Did you ever solve your problem with the "rumble" and loss of power around 30mph and the low-pitched vibrating sound? I recall you replaced the motor and these problems persisted. Was it a transmission issue? Please share any insight

I'm giving mine up in 4 months. Seems like everytime I get one thing fixed something else goes wrong. I wish I had never fallen in love with this vehicle years ago. I've had this for less than a year.

I just got the Body Control Module replaced and a week later I start getting a weird shuttering at around 45mph and today my Trans Fail Safe came on for a second. I've put thousands of dollars trying to keep this thing on the road and I'm officially calling it quits. Yukon Denali, here I come!
