Default We have been trying to import LR's from the wrong country!

so i know everyone is always asking and trying to scam a way to get a truck from England over to the US.... well maybe it would be a heck of a lot easier, cheaper and you would end up with trucks in better shape if we turn to Costa Rica. For one you can fly to Costa Rica to see your truck and flights are cheaper to CR then to the UK. Second they are in GREAT shape because there is no salt or sand on the roads to rust them to crap. Third no need for shipping you can drive the damn thing back thru Nicaragua, Hondura, Guatemala and Mexico. It would be about 2,200 miles to my house. and finally here are some trucks.

You still have to clear Customs, EPA and DOT, doesn't matter where it is being brought in from.

That would be a heller of a vacation. Fly down and take two weeks to drive back. Just take lots of cash - that is like $400 worth of diesel alone

yeah but you can get a nice hotel with a gated parking lot for about $7 a night in Guatamela

Since the two linked to meet the 25 year rule requirements, there should be no issues at all.

exactly, im not talking about trying to bring a 98 defender 110 back in to the US... which i did see for sale in Costa Rica for $67,000. lol. I love the old series LR's. Life was so much more simple back then.

that '76 109 is beautiful... i would die for that truck right now.
