Default What state are you in?

A fellow member jokingly said it seems like most members are from Texas and the rest were sprinkled around the other states.
Would be interesting to see how true that remark was.
If you have a moment, could you post City and State you are located in?

I've lived in Texarkana, too. Funny story when I moved from Tyler to Longview I heard people say they were "from Pinetree" or "lived in "Pinetree". I thought it was a CITY. Of course, it is a school district. Figured that out after two years.

I think there are so many in Texas because the dealerships in Dallas (where I got mine), Austin, and San Antonio... and Shreveport... made Discos and Range Rovers "cool" for a long time. Where I live, East Texas, there are very few... maybe four in my city. We wave at each other as if to say "good choice! You must have deep pockets and some mechanical/scavenging skills!". Also, people here see Land Rover and think it is a very exotic and expensive vehicle.

Dallas , replete with low mileage discos, classics, and later model range rovers, and, on the other hand, deceased but rust free parts trucks, is my boneyard. Basically the first time a head gasket goes most folks in Dallas throw in the towel after talking to a shop for a quote. Here? A shop will not even talk to you.
