Thanks Ll_1, as you probably know already this song was a musical 'ode' to Syd Barrett who was a member of the Floyd at the outset. He flipped and went off and finally died. Big shame as he was very talented all round but lived on the 'margins' of life unfortunately, hmm, or maybe he was right, who knows.

Heard this over and over and over in Houston this past week. Can't get it out of my head.

Default Sad news

I can't stop crying. I received news tonight that Rickety Tick took his own life on Friday. My best friend for the past two years decided that he couldn't go on any longer and without any warning but a cryptic message, left this lonely world. I wish there was something I could have done, I wish I had noticed the signs.

I want to tear my heart out. I am devastated and cannot believe you're truly gone. We used to watch shows together at night, and talk about our days, drink morning coffee together and tell each other good night. I wish I would have told him more often what I thought of him, how he made me laugh and what he meant to me. I'll never look at a full moon the same way again, listen to Pink Floyd without thinking of you, or forget your kind heart. I'm a better person for having known you Rob and I will miss you forever. Please come back and haunt me - I wish we could go back to the start.

this one is for you. RIP

I love you

RIP Rickety Tick, many enjoyed your music.

For you, a very poignant title.
