I think I got you all beat!! I was cleaning out the garage this weekend and found Toto's Greatest Hits on CASSETTE TAPE!!

The only cassette player I have is in the Discovery! Been listening to Toto all weekend and it sounds great in the Disco! Takes me back to the days when I cruised around always listening to tapes!

Do you remember the old 8 track tapes that used to shed their spool and tangle up. I have, or should I say my wife has, a whole drawer full of the normal later tapes, but we don't have a working tape player, they are all busted.

I remember Toto very well, good music in their time.

Do you remember this one by Toto

lol.. I have two cassette tapes that I play in the Rover - Chaka Khan and Depeche Mode. I have no idea where they came from but play them when the mood strikes - mainly when I'm feeling like an *** and need something to put me in a better mood. I heard this oldie today while running to the grocery store to return 500 pop/beer cans.. I don't think I've taken back that many returnables at one time- ever. Guess winter got the best of me .. at least my pocket is $50 fatter.

Here's another good one by America.

Is it possible for good music to come and go?.. I don't know why.. but I think the 70's and 80's were great. the 90's and turn of the century didn't make much of an impression on me. Maybe i'm just getting old. I miss the good ol' days.

Off road France... That Toto song is on my tape... Been listening to it a lot.

Also love me some America. They just don't make music like that anymore.

Hi 80's old school, they certainly don't make much modern music like the oldies these days. I'm a music fanatic, my personal music is modern jazz but I like most forms of music apart from rap crap usually because it's so repetitive and more often than not I don't understand the theme or even the words. Apart from rap I listen to most tunes, provided there is a tune attached. To me Jimi Hendrix was a great guitarist, maybe the greatest, but what an awful voice he had. Many of the best vocalists have been and gone, some tragically with drug abuse, I'm no angel but I can put my hand on my heart and say I have never done hard drugs and sooner or later they will bite you big time.

This guy I played alongside and he was a great pal when I saw him, sadly he died from a heroin addiction, Tubby was a great sax player and a huge loss to music, particularly modern jazz.
