Just wondering when the forum will get with the Pepsi Generation and get on the real time?... anyone else curious?... maybe the forum will forever be a day late and a dollar short?....

I guess no one else cares about time on this forum?... I'm kind of obsessive over things like that although I'm late for everything - hahaha.

 

Well I was once upon a time but time has a habit of catching up with you.

Having spent a lot of time in South America the customs are different than in the Northern continent and so are attitudes.

Being mature doesn't mean grabbing a granny from the local old folks home for a good night out.

In Argentina the Milonga bars allow you to ask a lady to dance appropriate to your tango skills:-

Rico Suave - that was some video there that you posted. Cornfusing! I would love to learn to tango but it takes the right teacher..and a student that knows what the teacher is saying or not saying..

My mom and dad have been in South America for the past six weeks or so traveling here and there (Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, etc.). My dad always seems to come back with 'interesting' photos of ladies on the beach.. he makes us all laugh as he takes a photo of something innocent and then just so happens to zoom in closer and 'oh look! there's a beauty on the beach doing her thing'. I'm sure this year will be no different You don't realize how much you miss someone until they're gone and you can't contact them at all (cryptic posts/e-mails is all I've been going on all winter) I really miss my dad..

 

Time was invented to control man not the other way around. Can't control what you can't have access to.

This is all toooooo reminiscent of an occasion when I was working in Oporto, Portugal and I went down to the Algarve for a few days off to play golf (free). We, Paul and I, went to a nightclub, bit hot and steamy in mid summer in more ways than one, and met up with a group of 'totty' who Paul knew. A record was playing which was very catchy and stupidly I said "what's that" so Paul said to the assembled "totty" "he wants to know about 'Lambada'", with that I was accosted by a gorgeous blond German girl who dragged me screaming onto the small dance floor and put me through the paces of the Lambada for 15 minutes of bumping and grinding which at the end I was a snivelling shivering wreck , only then to be immediately 'captured' by another lovely Portuguese fit 'filly' and put through the same 'intolerable' routine by her, having thought it was all over I was then dragged again into the same scenario by another very fit Venezualan filly and once again had to undergo this interminable bumping and grinding dance routine after about 40 minutes I was exhausted and wished I'd kept my 'BIG MOUTH' shut...............honest............. ................I have to say these were three very fit and gorgeous girlies in their late twenties and the whole experience was totally intolerable................HONEST.............

Dead right..................."time and tide waits for no man" and you know the rest I'm sure. Unfortunately life always has to move on and time is the unstoppable driving force and all the 'good bits' become 'just memories'..................it's sad we cannot turn back time to savour the 'good bits' again................but hey ho..........that's life..........

Flashbacks to the girls in the club in Portugal.................the race at Brands Hatch I never won and only finished second........1st of the losers.............etc........etc......etc. How many 'times' do we say 'wouldn't it be great to...........' or 'wasn't that great back then'.............it's all about time!
