Default Where can I watch Old Top Gear online?

Im looking for the original Top Gear episodes from 1988. Never watched them before but with all the **** going down lately at the BBC regarding Top Gear, I have a craving to watch all the old episodes. Cant find them anywhere online.

I don't know eh, you yanks. Got it first hit There is also a problem for you and me alike, we are not ALLOWED to watch iPlayer from the BBC 'cos we don't pay a UK licence fee to the money grabbing UK government so we are 'persona non grata' and we are then classed as expats, under dogs or just grubby foreigners

JC has got away with insults and near murder up until now but it's caught up with him ................... not that I care. Long gone are the real days of Top Gear and real vehicles for the average punter. I was watching an early version yesterday featuring Quentin Wilson which was about real cars for real people that could afford them. IMO JC has got too big for his boots and earns far too much dosh from the BBC who are funded by .................... yep, you guessed it, the UK taxpayer via the licence fee.

You can watch British tv over iplayer in a different country if you have a proxy service to connect to that effectively provides you with a British up address. It's pretty much the only way to stay sane if you're an expat.

Thanks Robert. We have a UK house but I personally never watch TV (the wife does bloody tele addict) only the BBC or ITV news via satellite, oh, I lie, also F1 and MotoGP and sometimes Country File

I can understand the necessity for expats to connect with UK TV after watching some of the French cr@p and some other european channels, hence I almost never watch TV as much of the UK is similar IMO.

iPlayer is good for those who want to to catch up but I doubt TRIARII has a way in to receive iPlayer.

One can also download a program such as uTorrent then go to one of the Torrent sites and download whatever you want. I for one am going to miss Top Gear UK, one of the few must-watch shows on my list.

Edit: Just recalled it is also on Netflix as well now.

For folks wanting to go the proxy route so that they can use iplayer, here's a good link for proxy services.
