Then some of these to get away quickly after the Rover runs out of gas, or overheats and blows up.

You guys dont know where your hidden fuel depots are? Whats wrong with you?
I have it all figured out, no less than 3/4 tank in the Rover at all times, 20gal of treated gas in the garage.
Bolt cutters and fluid hand pump, most cemeteries have their own fuel tanks for the lawn equipment as well as big farms and construction companies, you guys need to know where your live saving fuel is.
Lots of shotgun shells and hand gun ammo...and a "safe zone" 200 miles away with plenty of fresh water, hunting and fishing as well as being high and dry.

Don't forget boats - for fuel - good sized ones carry 40 - 80 gallons to 300 gallons. Transfer pump will work fine.

I also think you will need power. What about having off - grid power at the 'safe zone'? Make sure you have a portable water decontamination filter with you. Be prepared fight at all times. luckily we have XXX Glass which can take brick thrown at it 4 times before denting.. (proof)

I have a small arsenal of handguns, rifles, and semi-auto assault rifles with ample ammo, a bag with stove, fuel, and a water purifier as well as a tent for shelter, and then a fair assortment of tools and a siphon pump for gas. I also have weeks of dehydrated food I use when I go hiking to supplement what I will hunt/gather. I believe my family and I are prepared for a post-apocalyptic zombie style scenario.

Boats for fuel are a good idea.
As for off grid power, cell phone car charger as all cell towers have backup generators, other wise who cares?
You ever been camping?
Lots of fresh drinking water here.
Also have $1000 cash in the safe in $10's, $20's and $50's.
ATM's and credit card machines wont work, we saw that during Katrina.
