I Have the opportunity to purchase a 1979, Series 3, 109, 3 Door, 2.25 diesel. I've been informed it was a "frame off restoration" with a list of, big, Clutch replacement, and smaller, reupholstered seats. I will have the chance to go look/drive it early next week. This would be a first Land Rover purchase for me. I would appreciate any incite from current owners of that era vehicle, for what to definitely look for that make it a "no go" purchase. Things that I should inspect and evaluate their lifespan or cost of repair, that you wish you had known before your purchase, to negotiate the price. Finally, some things that one may see that look odd, but aren't a real problem (everybody's has that issue...don't worry about it). I thank you folks in advance for any assistance.
