Series III Throw Out Bearing Issue?

Series III Throw Out Bearing Issue?
I'm getting a whining noise coming from the transmission and 99% sure its the throw out bearing. I apply the clutch and the noise goes away. When released it makes the whining.
Question:
Would throw out bearing adjustment eliminate the throw out bearing from riding the clutch plate? (A temp fix until it can be replaced). I believe that is the whining noise.
Appreciate any help anyone can provide.
