Default TEXAS snow folks!

Alright Texans. We are all aware of the blizzard coming your way and are eager to see photos of your prized possession in its element. If you venture out to get milk and bread, post up some pictures! And be safe.

Will do, my wife swears up & down she can make it into work on Monday in her KIA Forte GT, but I told her it'll be a trip in a LR!

Yeaaaa, not sure the Kia would be a good decision. It's Rover time!

Oh my wife thinks all ice/snow does is make the road white & pretty lol. She's got 1 really tall bridge over the Neches River to worry about not to mention all the other normal over passes and bridges along the way. If it ices up as bad as they're talking about no way in the world would her KIA even make it the highway. I've got the 97 XD, 02 Kalahari, 99 D2, 95 D1, and even the 04 D2 on standby.

If is ices as bad as they say in the morning, I would recommend pulling the plug on travel. No reason to risk it. Most employers would likely have already closed offices tomorrow unless an essential duty worker.

And wrecking one of your trucks would be a shame and a half

If my wife didn't work at the Hospital I totally agree 150%. I waited until 3PM to take her into work on Monday, she took an overnight bag and she was spending the night at the hospital. The trip there wasn't bad at all. XD handled it like just another trip into town. It was all the other fools out there which was my #1 concern. After I dropped the wife off I made my way back and I stopped at a gas station. As I was filling up I heard a skidding vehicle and sure enough a very junky PT Cruiser goes skidding 3ft from my XD. I got the heck out of there and went straight home.

Today I waited for the sun to come up a bit and to start melting the slush which had turned into solid ice. I once again made my way into town to pickup the Mrs. Zero drama for me yet again, but the fools were certainly out! Once I had the precious cargo onboard I went straight home to leave the fools to crashing into one another. It's supposed to get bad again by Thursday so we'll see how that plays out. We also lost power at like 2AM last night and when I woke up it was nearly 59F inside the house. I got a fire going in the fireplace, and around 5PM the power came back on. We are very very lucky power wise as most of TX = power has been out since Sunday morning.
