2013 Range Rover HSE Lux
Hello,
Im looking at a 2013 with 42k miles and the car fax has its service history on there. Service not performed at a Land Rover dealer but at a reputable mechanics shop here in town. Im in Texas.
Interior looks clean etc. Body looks good, only some minor curb rash. the P-zeros seem to have some life left.
Is there anything i should be wary of? Everyone i talk to says i better have a fat savings account for repairs (which i dont have! lol) If we get this its for my wife who hauls kids about but doesn't do a ton of driving. We would be going to this from a pathfinder.
I would take it to a local Land Rover specialist for pre-purchase inspection of course, but wanted to know what folks thoughts were on this car in general?

I stopped selling Pirelli tires, I don't think they are a very good tire.
A job we do the most of is timing chains. The tensioners fail which allows the chains the beat the guides up and the chains themselves also stretch. We have done very few if any on 2013s, could be that they got better parts, or they just aren't old enough yet.
Not that any engine likes to be overheated, but these engines are by far the most sensitive I have seen. Starting to see more and more headgaskets fail as these cooling systems deteriorate.
We had our 2008 for about 8 years before trading it in on a 2015 and I frankly don't think we will keep it longer than another year or two.
