Default RRC - dash light up delay

Hi everyone,

Brand new to the forum, forgive me if this has already been posted somewhere, though I did spend considerable time digging.

I have a 1990 RRC, when it's chilly (below 65) or cold, I'll crank up the truck, it cranks fine but the dash lights and gauges do not work or illuminate. You can turn the headlights on, and the green dash lights will illuminate but none of gauges or warning lights. Then after a few minutes, everything comes to life. From outside the car, you can hear a difference in the idle/sound of the engine the moment the gauges come to life. I'm a novice, but I'd like to know if anyone has any experience as I'm afraid this is a bigger issues I'd like to address before I'm calling AAA on the side of the road.

Also, mechanics recommendations on NYC area? The ones I know at the moment are total ****.

Best,

Jerid

try cleaning all the ground points, specially the ground of the binacle and the ecu.
this should be the first step of any electrical concerns.

Thanks! I'll tell my mechanic and see how it helps things.
