Default Taking body off chassis??

Does anyone know what taking the body off of the chassis entails? I just bought a classic and I am wanting to clean some rust out from under the truck. Just slight chassis rust but some more serious rust in inner fenders and floor boards I would like to fix. Thanks

You'll need a fork lift to do it. There are only about 10 bolts securing the body to the frame. It's not so hard as it is unwieldy to lift the body of the frame. With the right equipment it's not even that bad a deal if you're really into a full restoration of the truck.

Do you think a chain hoist would work? maybe two of them? Thanks

Could get sketchy using a chain hoist, if the load is not extremely well balanced
