Engine Coolant Temp -40 0r +302 Truck won't run WTH?

Engine Coolant Temp -40 0r +302 Truck won't run WTH?
After searching the forum and coming up empty I have a question.
My 2008 LR322 quit running and the live data shows the car thinks the coolant temp is 302 degrees F . My son said it was running rough as well. We had it towed home and the guage showed hot as well.
Disconnecting the battery and resetting would send it to a -40 condition or a +302 condition.. Once, it showed actual temp (42 degrees) and the Truck would start right up.
Buying a new coolant sensor just seems to park it at -40. And now it won't start again
Anyone have any ideas??
I cant find any pin locations in my Rave to locate ECM pins.
