Default overheating going up a hill

Im about to lose my mind now .... when the temp is hot outside and ive been running around town and being stationary in the car i dont have any issues. If ive been in the vehicle for a few hour sand then try to drive up a slight hill the car overheats. As soon as i pull over it goes back down . Its been in the garage on the first time they said they cant find a issue , then this time they said i need a new fan , so its been replaced . next day i go home and its still overheating when i apply high revs or go up hill , as soon as i stop it goes back down . The new fan is going crazy ad load as hell and the coolant is on lowest mark . I have to fill up once a month . Ive now gone to two rangerover garages paid thousands and still in the same position . Has anyone had similar or got advice thanks

Have your mechanic run an exhaust gas test to see if the head gasket might be leaking. I had a similar issue, but it would take almost an hour to manifest. Ran a test and bam, right at the 38 minute mark it failed the gas test.

I would also consider that you have a coolant leak and air is getting in the system. When you go up hill the air pocket may move near the temp sensor

Thanks for the replies , now so far to date the garage has ruled out coolant leak and radiator , ive had both fans now replaced and it still hasn't had it resolved and the gaskets are fine. However they have placed it on the laptop and the explaation i have had is as follows and im unsure if they are pulling my leg ! lol

The fan at the front is working fine and comes on to help the aircon ect and just been replaced , the fan behind that i beleive is in the engine is supposed to come on gradually at 98 C in percentages to help cool the car i stages , however he can turn on with the laptop and its works fine , but when it is kicking in they have said its doing to late at max and wont help cool hense the overheating .

They believe its the ecu module is the issue as this is the box that manages the system , but to have replaced i have to have new keys ect ! and on the safe side they want to replace both fans again the radiator and the ecu , at the tune of over 5k , after already paying 2 K out ! Has anyone heard of the ECU module being the problem ?
