2014 Range Rover HSE - Difficult Decision
Hello,
I have always wanted a Range Rover, and am now finally close to being able to afford one. I am looking at a 2014 Range Rover HSE,V6 with 38k miles on it, at a Land Rover dealership. They have done their checks, but the car is not certified by them. Price is within my budget also. The only thing I am unsure about is whether to spend $4,000 on a comprehensive 3rd party warranty. Also, if anyone thinks it is an outright bad idea to buy a car like that? I know there are Land Rover techs on this forum, so I am hoping to get some objective, unemotional advice. Thank you.

Procrastinate for as long as you can and do your due diligence in researching the specific pros and cons of the trim and year model you want. Research from as simple as preventative maintenance items/parts and big ticket maintenance parts that breakdown on specific mileage milestones. This would be able to help you mitigate incoming expenses for your prospect Range Rover. Good luck on the purchase and again the key is understanding the car you are about to own can be a real PITA.
