CPO Warranty Quick Question
I am looking to replace my current Range with a late year (2021.5) low mileage Range Rover or maybe just go with a new Defender. My last two Range Rover purchases were new, so my first time to look at a pre-owned model with Land Rover. My question is, on a CPO vehicle is it one year 100k / 2 years100k starting at the expiration of the original warranty, or simply starting the day you purchase regardless if the vehicle still has original warranty time left. I know on my Porsche it was remainder of Factory then CPO started after that expired, but I can't seem to find a clear answer in regards to LR.

The CPO coverage kicks in once the original warranty expires. To my knowledge, CPO extends the coverage by one year with unlimited miles, or you have the option to go with a 2 years CPO with 100k miles. Check with the selling dealer to be 100 percent sure.
“The Land Rover Approved Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty, including Roadside Assistance benefits, begins when the Land Rover New-Vehicle Limited Warranty expires. For Land Rover vehicles sold as certified between 48 and 60 months from the original in-service date with the one-year unlimited mileage plan, the Approved Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty begins from the contracted sale date as reported to Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. Vehicles can have either a one year/unlimited miles or two years/100,000 miles limited warranty coverage.”
In other words, if you bought the CPO vehicle after the original warranty expired and the 1 year/unlimited mileage plan applies, the CPO warranty would start on the sale date of the pre-owned vehicle. Per the same brochure, a vehicle musts have be less than 5 years old (hence =the 48-60 months reference above).
