Most Dependable L405
Hey y’all, I am an owner of a 2011 LR4 and that car has turned me into a fan of the Land Rover brand. I am recommending one to a family member with more money to spend and seeking the most trouble free of this generation. He could afford the L460 but logically I would imagine a 2020-22 car would be the most reliable. I am aware of the common issues on my LR4 with the same 5.0, the timing chains and the coolant crossover pipes. I also know that the air suspension is mostly robust but can still have some issues.
Is the 2020-22 L405 plagued by the same issues as my LR4? What has improved and are there any new issues that are present in these later cars? The main concern is not cost of repairs, it is effort and inconvenience. Do y’all hear of these cars requiring many unplanned trips to the dealership, or can most issues wait until the car is there for service, or be done preventatively?
I appreciate your insights!
