Default Noise when turning the wheel

My 2016 Range Rover is making a knocking/cracking noise when the wheels is fully turned. There is no noise when I put the car on a jack and try the same thing. I notice the noise when I am pulling out of the parking lot in low speed. There is no noise when I run in the straight line. The noise is a little louder when the car is in High suspension mode.

I took the car to a mechanic but they suspect it's CV joint. There is nothing wrong with the CV axle/joint looking from outside. No rip or oil leak. Lower arms are recently replaced so that's not it.

I was proposed to replace the CV axle assembly.

Please help!

It is hard to tell exactly what your issue is so I would start with the CV joints per your mechanic's recommendation. Or keep on driving it until the noise gets worse.

Thanks for your input.
I am now waiting for the mechanic to share me a quote for the cv axle replacement.

Some other people are telling me that ball joints could potentially be the cause of the cracking noise also. Do you think that could also be a possibility?

To share a little more findings the mechanic have shared with me yesterday.
The mechanic tried turning the wheel full right and full left stationary, the noise happens. The noise doesn’t happen with the wheels off the ground.
They also tried to run slowly with full right turn and full left turn, the noise happens both when going forward or reverse.
The noise doesn’t happen when running in a straight line or when the wheel is not turned a lot.

It sounds like the CV joints. I would also check the wheel bearings.
