Default Water Pump

It appears my water pump is going out again on my 2013 Range Rover Sport; non supercharged.

It was replaced at 48,000 miles and one other time. I am now at 133,000 so this will be pump number three. The dealer did the first two but I am debating on doing it myself but somewhat hesitant. My big question is... why are these pumps going out in roughly every 40,000 miles? Could this be a bad tensioner? Was this a bad design and there is now an improve upgrade by Land Rover, if so I want to make sure I have that part.

Thanks

You are better off getting a professional to do this job, and by the way, this is the forum for the full size Range Rover. You may get better answers in the Range Rover sport section. Good luck.
