Default Range Rover L460 Waiting Room

Hi,

So I have a 2023 V8 that's due to be built 6/10/22 and scheduled to be delivered 7/29/22 ... although who knows if those dates will hold in the current environment, not to mention I don't know if there will be any EPA delays as this is a new model.

Nothing too fancy, just a base SWB V8 in Belgravia Green with black pack. I actually wanted a PHEV but those weren't available to order when I got my allocation, so I will probably trade into one somewhere down the line.

Although not a radical redesign I actually love the way the new FFRR looks inside and out. I was a big fan of the L405 and owned three of them over the years so excited to drive this latest version.

Anyhoot, I thought I'd start us a thread for us to discuss the car, share specs, talk dates, ask questions, etc ...

Cheers!

She's built, waiting to be shipped. Hoping delivery is sooner than indicated. That said, not sure if this is a model that's subject to EPA approval. I've been in that situation before with vehicles sitting at port for months waiting for approval.

She’s pushed forward by a week.

Oh and my FFRR is on a vehicle carrier called Treasure.

Hoping to have it in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, dead here. Pretty much over the whole forum compared to the MB forums. I thought there would be even more in the 4th gen forums, but no.

Curious what your first impressions are. The one I ordered is for my wife. It was basically the base six banger MHEV I loaded up with options. It was funny tho, to get the order accepted, I had to leave off the upgraded headlights and the upgraded 850 watt meridian. Any such issues on your order?

I honestly don't remember my spec off hand but I never choose upgraded sound systems on any car, and I think it accepted the upgraded headlights, but maybe that's a V8 thing.

I think with the V8, it comes with the 850 watt system as base. The upgrade on that one is more expensive. The ordering process for new roll-outs are always screwy. I ordered my GLE450 as one of the first new orders in Dallas, and I got options on the car that were not offered any more just one model year later. However, some options weren't allowed on my order that were subsequently allowed just a few months later. And this was pre-Covid before all the chip and parts availability nonsense. I guess it takes manufacturers awhile to get it together on updated models.

So the V8 should be landing in Brunswick by week's end.

Unless it gets bogged down because of shipping logistics I’m hoping to have it home by the end of the month.

The irony is that the boat is docking in Charleston where I live before heading to Brunswick. Tomorrow my car will be five minutes from my house yet beyond my reach. The very definition of a first world problem.
