1996 p38 4.6 brake bleeding issues.
New to the forum, so please bear with me. My son and I picked up an appearance wise dead sharp 96 Range Rover HSI. Original Ca. car, no rust , no accidents, really nice interior. We paid $500.00 for it knowing we would have to put some money Into it. The motor has now been taken care of, car is running great. We opted for upgraded drilled and slotted rotors and completed the brake job. We have bled the brakes according to the manual 2 different times. We cannot get the brakes to work well enough to drive. Question is there something we don't know about Range Rover brakes. Please give us something to look for we are both getting very frustrated. Thanks in advance for all your help.

It has ABS you need to bleed the brakes with an OBD2 connected tool to get all the air out. The ABS pump has to run to get a complete bleed. However you can activate the ABS by jumping the relay in the engine compartment fuse box as an alternate method which is described in the D2 forum. Or get on a gravely area and spin the wheels till the ABS activates, then bleed again.
You should be able to search Google and find many many videos on how to bleed brakes on a P38, but welcome, there is tons of info here you will likely need someday.
