Is this truck new to you or did it just start acting up? The reason I ask is that my brakes are fully functioning however it not a vehicle that I would brag about it's stopping abilities.

Really? The P38 I had stopped great. If you want brakes that suck try a D2.

As for the original post, have you checked the function of the pump, confirmed the accumulator is good and made sure the bleeding was done correctly? It is a bitch to do, but if you follow the steps in RAVE, it works well. Also, make sure that the fluid freely flows from the reservoir. There are little filter screens in there that clog up if the fluid isn't changed enough or if the wrong fluid is used. Cleaning them nearly impossible, but with lots brake cleaner and compressed air it can be done. Check here for more info: ABS Accumulator Replacement on a Range Rover 4.0/4.6/P38; abs

I've had D1 & D2 and they stopped about the same as my P38. Of course I do have oversized tires which don't help. When I switch from my Rover to my Mercedes I almost put myself through the windshield the first couple times I stop until I get used to good brakes. lol
