i’ve read many threads with many answers but i can’t seem to find a thread that i read a while ago where the person stated which cable it was exactly that controls the backlight back on the hevac
i finally cleared all fault on my hevac system and while my dash is still off, i’d love to try and tackle this issue i’ve had since i bought the car where the display backlight doesn’t work.
i replaced the display connector ribbon as well as the bulbs and still nothing.
i remember reading a while ago that it is the white/ green wire that powers the backlight but then i also read that the wire that powers backlight is connected to the instrument cluster and the white/ green wire does not go into instrument cluster.
i just purchased a wire tracer kit to try and try to wire that is the one that powers the backlight but i have a better chance reading french then understanding this wire diagram.
also i’d like to add that i do see numbers displayed but only when i use a flashlight from a certain angle. some times i get a nice beam of light while driving and for that split second i know what the temperature in my car is as well
im also getting some ohm readings when multimeter is on this setting;
