Alright and back to work we go. We buttoned up adding a rear power port to the P38 with a 12v outlet and 2 usb ports. Outlet so we can power the fridge while we are on the road. We used a trailer harness kit to pull the 12 volts off

We finished up the exterior changes and took the Royal Family Truckster out for a spin🤣

On the way back from Wally World the planets aligned and I realized that the torque converter was locking up. It was the transfer case module had an internal short.

Then I moved on to the brakes since the ceramic pads had arrived for the rear. Checked out all the guide pins made sure everything was loose clean and lubed. Then got it back together with the new pads

Fronts will be later as the pads are still on the way

Took it for a drive to South Carolina to put a longer run on it to see temps and how it behaved. It was fantastic

Stopped and Car Cave USA in Aiken what an awesome place. So many cool vehicles and the team there is next level. Spent about an hour chatting and getting a tour of all the cool stuff from the owner and met the service team who are all Green Oval fans.

Front Pads have arrived

Caught those guide pins just in time😳

then we had to make a quick detour

then back to work on the royal family truckster

My dad was messing with the blower motor issue while I messed with putting the interior back together on the drivers side

Time to button up the exhaust

and now we are at today. We are a few days before we leave the interior is all buttoned up. I think we have everything sorted that we can. I’m going to put together a box of spares, fluids etc for the truck and load my tools. Some camping gear for our Nebraska stop and I think we are as good as we are going to get.

This has been a hell of a ride putting this $450 facebook ride together. The best part was when my daughter came out to help and the time I spent with my dad in the shop. Memories are all we are in the end and the last few months tons of them have been made. I can’t wait to spend the week with my daughter on this adventure taking us up the east coast and then to the west coast and back home to Augusta Georgia in just a week.

Wish us luck and I hope you follow along on instagram and youtube

Thanks Walt, we didn’t manage to fix the cruise and I’m sure I’ll regret that lol

Finishing touches are still happening

It’s the little things really 😂
