EPB Fault (NOT Screeching!)
Hi all,
I'm diagnosing an EPB fault in my 2006 Range Rover Sport. It does NOT exhibit the screeching sound as with most faults. Rather, it seems like it is actually moving, but at a very slow rate. The dash constantly says it has a fault when applying the EPB. I have taken the cover off of the module to inspect it, and sure enough, it does move. I have taken the shoes off to ensure nothing is seizing. I also have manipulate the cables themselves and found they both can travel somewhat back and forth. I have included a short video of inside the module while attempting to apply the EPB. During this video, both parking brakes shoes are off, meaning there is no resistance in the brake assembly themselves.
I'm honestly at a loss here. I'm not sure what could be causing it to operate the way it is. Any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
