Default Range Rover 2011 Bluetooth

We just got a used 2011 Range Rover
Sport HSE. When we were test driving it the bluetooth came up on our phones as Land Rover. However the next day when we went to buy it the bluetooth wouldn't show up on our phones. It's been about 3 days and we still aren't seeing the Land Rover connection.

Did you get it to work? I have a 2011 RRS SC and had the same issue. When I navigated to the phone settings on the touch screen, it showed up on my phone. Was a little disappointing to find out the blue tooth will only work for the voice on the phone, not for playing music from the phone. I guess 2011 was a bit too early for that feature.

Cheers,
Jay

They completely upgraded the stereo in 2012 to include bluetooth audio. When I bought my 2011, I had to tell the stereo to forget the stored phones and then pair with it. You have to use the default pin code when pairing your phone. I think the default is always 2121. If you want to use bluetooth for music you can buy an adapter like this one. IT plugs into the Ipad port in the armrest.

It's a bit pricey, but it works well.

Thanks. I have looked at these. Price seems a bit steep, but I might break down one day. In the mean time, I just threw my music on a flash drive and have it plugged into the USB port. Works well enough, including the steering wheel controls. When I do get a call on my phone, the car knows to cut the music to have the phone over bluetooth. To be completely honest, I find the cord for the iphone plug takes up too much room. That little tray under the arm rest doesn't hold much!

Cheers,
Jay

Default 2011 RRS Bluetooth pair to iPhone

The pairing did initially work for years but one day, unknown reason, the iPhone just didn’t pair. After many attempts and trying different suggestions, what finally worked was clearing all the audio modules, even though there were no errors, using a obdii tool.
Removing fuses or disconnecting the battery to clear didn’t work.
I did reset my iPhone network settings but that didn’t work.
after clearing the audio modules, the iPhone found LAND ROVER and paired using 2121. The address book showed up and all is well.

How did you clear out the audio modules using the OBDII tool?

Default Upgrade 2011 RRS audio to 2012 spec.

Does anyone know if you can upgrade a 2011 RRS audio system to 2012 spec?
