On my 2013 Range Rover Sport, I like to keep the rear head rests down since I rarely have passengers and it's easier to see through the rear view mirror with the head rests down.

But, the down position is uncomfortable for a passenger, so on those occasions I have to move them up.

Unfortunately, they are nearly impossible to move up or down. I have to get on my knees and use both hands and all my might to move them up or down. My wife can't even budge them. Any suggestions?

Try a drop of liquid detergent on each chrome shaft, then exercise it. I used Dawn liquid detergent and it worked on mine.

 

I hope this works they are stuck to the point that it feels they are going to break
