Hi guys,
i have a range rover sport 2010. I had sometimes " Transmission Fault" message with codes P0783 and PO2704. At some point the car wouldnt go on the 4th gear anymore at all so i changed the transmission oil and i put also 1liter of Lucas Stop slip two days ago. When i changed the oil and the filter i checked the old oil condition in the pan and it was black. However there were no metal shavings in the magnet, only metal powder. This made me think that the transmission itself isnt damaged. The car seemed to run fine and the gears were changing smoothly after the oil change, however today i got again the transmission fault message. What can this be? I reseted the codes after oil change. Anyone any idea what can this be? I googled a bit and all i could find is that i have to check the wirings, and maybe reflash the transmission by disconnecting and connecting the battery.

 

So same thing is happening with my ranger rover supercharger 2010 !! Still didn’t figure out what is it.
