We bought a 2019 Range Rover Sport a couple of months ago and yesterday the tailgate made a horrible cracking sound while it was opening and the top left side seemed to of hit the roof and a piece snapped :-(

We have no idea why this happened and wanted to see if anyone has run into a similar issue. This is a certified preOwned vehicle so wondering how could this have happened. If anyone knows of a reason why this would occur please let me know.
