Default Fuel Filter Replacement

Got a 2017 RR Sport and hitting 65K miles. I see the service interval calls for a new fuel filter which appears to be under the rear seat and in the tank. Do I need to get a new lock ring and gasket? Just don't want to get it apart and realize something else needs to be had. It appears some videos I found that the ring is actually metal, but didn't know if it was the same on a 2017 RR Sport specifically. I figure for 12.00 the gasket would likely be insurance.

I now have at least one LR dealer saying bc of my VIN the normal fuel filter part is not applicable and I have to buy an entire fuel pump system which drops in the tank? This cannot be correct? But then I think to myself - it is British ... Amazingly GOOGLE has no info on the issue.
