Default P00C6 and P0087 on TD6 - Fuel rail pressure sensor?

I need your help. I have a 2017 RRS TDV6 diesel.

My wife ran the car low on diesel and the following day she got an Engine yellow light and limp mode error codes p0087 and p00c6 - fuel rail low pressure. The fuel cap is tight. The car started fine for a while and ran ok in limp. I left it for the weekend and now it cranks but won't start.

I believe i hear the faint hum of the fuel pump when turning on the ignition. I am assuming it's the fuel rail pressure sensor from previous posts. Three questions if I may:

1. Are there any tests I can do to rule out the pump, fliter or anything else? I have an Autel 3088BT.

2. Can you replace the fuel rail sensor on the diesel engine? I tried to unscrew it but it's really tight and the sensor part doesn't show up on typical parts websites, inc landrover, only the entire fuel rail with the sensor installed.

3. Can someone confirm its a 27mm socket? I don't have a socket that big so will special order it. Monkey grips just doesn't cut it.

Thanks in advance,

Telinger
