Range Rover Velar 2020 - Buy or Not
Hello Everyone,
My 42-month lease on my 2020 Range Rover Velar with 42K miles is ending in a month and I want your expert advise on whether I should consider buying this car or not. I have a few questions noted below.
- What maintenance expenses/risks should I expect should I purchase the car?
- I'm guessing tires and brake pads should be expected - How much am I looking at approximately?
- If I buy the car, my payment would remain the same. If I get a new Velar, my payment will go up by $600/month and I'd have to put down at least $5K.
- Are there extended warranties I can get that cover important aspects of the car?
- What else should I think about to minimize the downside?
Looking forward to some guidance from the experts, and thank you so much in advance for your help.
Regards,
Aditya

The answer is probably different for everyone.
If your specific Velar had no issues and is well maintained, then buying it makes sense for the lower car payments. Aside from the larger screen, there's nothing new in the latest Velar. Though I would state having dual display looks so much better, IMO. However, if you've experienced several issues with the car, it's a chance for a clean slate.
